COURSE OVERVIEW

As of the 13th December 2014 the Food Information for Consumers Regulation law changes introduced a range of new implications for childcare settings and providers across the United Kingdom. These changes mean that all childcare settings who provide food and snacks have to be able to identify all ingredients within all meals and snacks served to children in their care. This course explains general allergies, food allergies and food intolerances. It covers the 14 allergens controlled by UK legislation, in addition to food additives and the risks they pose. It gives detailed information on how to reduce the risk of allergens and monitor control measures.

CERTIFICATION

Successful candidates will be awarded the National Nursery Training  Food Allergen Awareness (Level 2) Course Completion Certificate.

Upon Successful completion you will receive a certificate confirming course completion.  Accreditation is provided by National Nursery Training. This can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.  The purpose of this qualification is for the update and continued professional development (CPD)
