The “Toxic Trio” is used to identify issues and potential issues of domestic abuse, mental health and/or substance misuse.  There have been an increased number of safeguarding concerns raised within Early Years settings in recent years with regards one of, or a combination or these issues.  All Early Years and Childcare settings have a legal responsibility to ensure that all possible steps are taken as part of a standard process of due dilligence as part of a greater aim of preventing dangerous and potentially dangerous people from gaining access to children in their care.
This course looks in detail at the Toxic Trio; its compontents; signs of abuse; those most at risk and the process of raising concerns.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

As part of the National Nursery Training Safer Recruitment course you will gain:
