Course Overview

Gender identity is the personal sense of a person’s own gender. Gender identity can correlate with a person’s assigned sex at birth or can differ from it. Gender is no longer seen as the same thing as sex as there are now multiple ways to identify other than male or female.

Gender stereotypes have changed over time and children nowadays should be allowed to develop their own thoughts on their gender, and their parents and carers can help them reach these decisions through different ways.
