Safer Sleep and SIDS Awareness

Safe sleep practice is a key part of the EYFS welfare requirements, and the guidance is being strengthened. This course helps practitioners follow NHS and Lullaby Trust safer sleep guidance to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), particularly for children under two.

  • Monitoring and recording sleep checks
  • Recognising and challenging unsafe sleep practices
  • Following NHS/Lullaby Trust guidance in your setting
  • Working in partnership with parents on consistent safer sleep

On completion learners receive an NFAQ-accredited certificate as evidence for compliance and Ofsted.
