Why this training matters
The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 requires employers to protect staff and anyone else affected by their work, so far as is reasonably practicable, and in a nursery that includes children, parents, students, visiting professionals and contractors. Employees have their own legal duty to take reasonable care and report hazards. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 the responsible person must have a fire risk assessment, an emergency plan, staff training and fire drills in place, and the EYFS requires providers to follow safer sleep guidance and to have a medicines policy with staff appropriately trained.

Who in our setting needs RIDDOR training?
RIDDOR places the duty to report on the responsible person, and only responsible persons submit reports. The course asks you to decide who reports in your setting and who covers when they are away, so those people should take it.
Are the courses online?
All of them are online and self-paced except Paediatric First Aid (Face-to-Face Course), which is blended: self-paced e-learning theory followed by a practical classroom day with infant and child mannequins.
Do learners get a certificate?
Yes. Learners receive a certificate when they pass the end-of-course assessment, and they can resit the assessment as many times as they need.
