This online Prevent duty training for early years providers gives your whole team a clear understanding of the Prevent strategy and their responsibilities under it. Since 2015, all schools and registered early years providers have had a legal duty to have due regard to preventing people being drawn into terrorism — and that duty extends to every practitioner in your setting.
In practice, this means staff must be alert to any reason for concern in a child’s life, at home or elsewhere, including awareness of the expression of extremist views. How the course works
The course is delivered entirely online through media-rich learning with voiceovers, so staff can complete it at their own pace, on any device, whenever the nursery day allows. It takes approximately one hour, making it straightforward to include in inductions and annual refresher plans.

On successful completion you will receive the Prevent Strategy course completion certificate, which can be used as evidence for compliance and audit and towards continuing professional development (CPD). National Nursery Training is an NFAQ-accredited provider, so your certificate carries recognised accreditation for your safeguarding training records.
