Whistleblowing in Early Years

From September 2025 the EYFS requires every setting to have whistleblowing procedures, and all staff, students and volunteers must know how to raise concerns about poor or unsafe practice. This course gives your team the confidence to speak up and protect the children in their care.

What you’ll learn

  • What whistleblowing is and why it matters
  • The new EYFS whistleblowing requirement
  • Recognising poor or unsafe safeguarding practice
  • How, and to whom, to raise a concern within your setting
  • Confidentiality and legal protection under the Public Interest Disclosure Act
  • Escalating concerns externally to the LADO or Ofsted

On completion learners receive an NFAQ-accredited certificate as evidence for compliance and Ofsted.
