Description
As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you are the first point of contact for staff, families and visitors whenever a child protection concern arises — so your knowledge needs to be in-depth and up to date. This Level 3 course gives you the confidence to lead safeguarding across your setting, from the legal framework and your responsibilities to handling disclosures and making referrals. Based on the law and guidance in England.

- The varying levels of need, and the right processes to follow for each
- How to record information accurately and follow due process, including referral to external agencies
